When I subscribe to a Solar Garden, does the energy produced at the Garden go directly to my home? If the Garden stops producing electricity for some time, will I be without power?
Power produced at your local Solar Garden does not get routed directly to your home. Instead, the power produced at the Garden is fed into your utility’s existing electric grid. This allows you and your entire community to benefit from renewable energy production without ever installing additional infrastructure on your property. This also allows you to bring your Sunscription with you when you move.
As a community solar subscriber, you will receive the same reliable service you are accustomed to as a customer of your utility. So if our Solar Garden goes offline for a short time, that will not cause any interruption in your electric service.
