What is the difference between the Electric Delivery and Electric Supply sections on my Ameren bill?

This article is for Ameren electric customers

Electric Delivery vs. Electric Supply

Ameren electric bills are divided into multiple sections that are important to be aware of when understanding your Sunscription. The Electric Delivery section lists charges associated with Ameren transporting electricity from where it was produced to your home, where it is consumed. The Electric Supply section lists charges from Ameren associated with the electricity sourced from a power generation facility that Ameren operates.

Why does this matter?

It is important to be aware of the difference between these two sections because your Sunscription only affects the Electric Supply section of your bill. Ameren uses their existing electric grid infrastructure to deliver electricity to your home - no matter if that energy was generated at a US Solar Community Solar Garden or at an Ameren-operated power facility. Therefore, the electricity that your Sunscription produces at our US-Solar-operated Solar Garden reduces your charges in the Electric Supply section, but has not affect on the Electric Delivery section.
