Your Sunscription is a long term agreement that is designed to be flexible
If you are considering a move in the future, that doesn’t mean that you can't subscribe to a Community Solar Garden. A Sunscription is a long term agreement that is also designed to be flexible. If you move within the area, you can take your Sunscription with you to your new home. If you move and are no longer eligible for the Solar Garden, you can work with our team to cancel or transfer your Sunscription to a friend or new homeowner.
With a limited number of spots available in each Solar Garden, it may be in your best interest to subscribe sooner rather than later so that you don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate. See the scenarios below to help you decide if subscribing to a Solar Garden right now makes sense for you.
If you plan to move within the same electric utility territory
If you have a set timeline to move soon but are planning to stay in your current area and electric utility territory, we encourage you to sign up for a Solar Garden! As long as you are in the territory of one of our participating utilities, it is easy to take your Sunscription with you if and when you move.
If you don't have any concrete plans to move in the near future
If you have concrete plans to move outside of your current electric utility's territory, it may not make sense for you to subscribe to a Solar Garden at this time. However, if you don't plan on moving in the next year or two, you can still participate and benefit from the Solar Garden. In the event that you do move out of a participating utility territory, our team will help you cancel or transfer your Sunscription. And, in the event that you don’t move, you can drive the development of more clean, local renewable energy by signing up for a Solar Garden.
