How long do I have to sign up?
When considering a subscription with US Solar, you may have a lot of factors that play into your decision about becoming a subscriber. We encourage you to do your research and work with our subscription team for as long as you need in order to make the best decision for you. But just how long do you have to make your decision?
Every Community Solar Garden that US Solar builds has a certain capacity for how much energy it can produce. That means that there are a limited number of spots available for subscribers at each Solar Garden. These spots are available on a first come, first served basis, and a spot is not reserved until a subscriber has fully completed the sign-up process (see our sign up checklist here:
What do I need to do to complete the Sunscription sign up process?).
So if you are considering subscribing, we recommend you do the following:
- Reach out to US Solar and verify how many spots are available in your area by calling 1-800-US-SOLAR
- Ask one of our representatives how long they anticipate subscriptions will be available for
- Once you decide you want to subscribe, make sure you complete all of the sign up steps in a timely manner to reserve your spot
If you are unable to complete your sign-up in time to reserve a spot that's ok! You can still fully complete all of the sign-up steps and get placed on our waitlist. Then, as spots in your local Solar Garden become available, we will offer these spots to people on our waitlist.
